The other warshrag

Photo taken by my kid. The warshrag is very soft, and is getting rave reviews from kid and hubby. This is the other one in the same colors, but different combinations.

I have started on the yoga mat bag for my friend. This is my first attempt at knitting without a pattern. For the bottom part, I used 2 yarns and CO 8 stitches, then increased a stitch on both sides for every other row, working up to 20 stitches, then decreased back to 8. It did not come out to be as round as I imagined. Working up the sides with dpns using 1 yarn. Everything is in seed stitch.

First warshrag completed!

Finished first dishcloth! Started a second one with the same 3 colors, but this time CO with the navy blue. It took me roughly an hour to CO and knit 24 rows.

Starting first warshrag

I went to not-so-local yarn shop on Saturday and bought Way Too Much yarn. So much that I had to return a few skeins at the cash register so I would have enough money for the train ride back home. Sunday, cast on a beautiful green cotton yarn for the ball band dishcloth from Mason-Dixon Knitting Book, and knitted one pattern (12 rows). Turns out I made a mistake on one row, but never mind, it's only a warshrag. Not worth ripping out. Today (Monday), did some KIP on the train home from work, then some more watching TV.
